Our team is driven by a single mission: To advance the efficiency frontier of robust & safe physical AI through fully open and reproducible research. If you are excited about physical AI, world models and autonomy, and want to join us on this mission, apply for one of the following roles:
Technical Staff: Research Scientist
Lead original research that advances robust and safe physical AI. We are looking for someone with a strong, published research track record in a domain relevant to KE:SAI's mission who can develop a focused research agenda and publish reproducible work with open models and code. You will have the opportunity to mentor interns and PhD students. This is a permanent position.
Technical Staff: Research Engineer
Turn promising research ideas into stable, efficient, large-scale training runs. We are looking for someone with deep experience in distributed computing who understands the full training stack, from simulation and model code down to GPU kernels. You should be able to turn careful profiling into practical improvements and diagnose difficult performance or stability failures. This is a permanent position.
Technical Staff: Infrastructure Engineer
Build and operate the infrastructure that makes ambitious physical AI research possible. We are looking for someone with experience operating large-scale training platforms who can help maintain and grow our compute cluster that combines simulation- and training-specialized GPUs. Working closely with researchers, you will translate their needs into infrastructure that makes large-scale experimentation more efficient. This is a permanent position.
PhD Student
Pursue a PhD at the cutting edge of world models or physical AI, supervised by world-leading researchers. We are looking for someone curious, with a strong academic foundation in a relevant technical field, who wants to develop their own ideas in a collaborative, well-resourced environment. You will pursue open long-term research problems in world models or physical AI and publish impactful and fully reproducible research. Please note that our PhD hiring is conducted through the ELLIS PhD program's industry track.
